If normal songs mix correctly while only short clips fail, reduce the fade duration for those clips or exclude them from the crossfade playlist. Success means the fade works predictably with ordinary tracks, even if a special short file still requires different timing.

Crossfade and silence removal solve different problems. Crossfade overlaps decoded audio from adjacent tracks. Silence removal attempts to skip quiet material near track boundaries. Temporarily enable the option for removing silence at track edges, if it is available in your Windows configuration. Use conservative detection settings because quiet musical intros and fades can be mistaken for silence. Test the file again and check whether its audible ending now reaches the next track.
Do not expect silence removal to repair a file containing a deliberate quiet passage, damaged timing information, or silence that is not below the configured threshold. If the original artistic fade is being cut off, disable silence removal and rely on crossfade alone.

4.1 Test Without ReplayGain Temporarily
ReplayGain changes playback level according to stored or calculated loudness information. It does not normally disable mixing, but it can change how a transition is perceived. For example, a quiet outgoing track and a heavily reduced incoming track may create an overlap that sounds more like a pause than a blend.
Temporarily disable ReplayGain and other normalization for the two-track test. Also turn off equalizer presets, automatic gain effects, and anti-clipping adjustments only for the duration of the test. Do not delete ReplayGain tags.

Live internet radio is not the same as a sequence of local playlist tracks. A station controls its own stream and may already mix songs before sending them to AIMP. Switching between station URLs can require a new connection, so a seamless overlap may not be possible.

For WebDAV or Samba sources, reopen the location and confirm that both files can start independently. Refresh expired credentials and verify that the server permits continuous reads.
